The Maramures Mountain Rescue County Public Service has its headquarters in the Maramures County Council and operates three bases in the territory, as follows: Izvoare Mountain Rescue Base - Poiana Soarelui, Mogoșa Mountain Rescue Base and Vișeu de Sus Mountain Rescue Base.
