Lemnul este principala materie prima pe care meșterul Liviu Puț o modelează cu pricepere tot mai mare. Un iubitor al artei sculpturii în lemn, în urmă cu aproximativ 20 ani a dorit să dea o nouă dimensiune artei frumosului. Astfel, cu o răbdare și o migală ieșită din comun, maramureșeanul s-a pus la masa de lucru și a început să sculpteze litere în lemn. Mai apoi, printr-un procedeu unic, a început să introducă fiecare slovă în sticla de horincă. Astfel, a obținut un cadou autentic, cum numai un maramureșean adevărat, iubitor de tradiții, poate să îl facă altor moroșeni. Date contact meșter popular: Comuna Șișești, Sat Șurdești, str. Portul popular este una dintre cele mai importante forme de cultură ale maramureșenilor și de fiecare dată a transmis un mesaj autentic de unitate. Același mesaj de unitate încearcă și meșterul popular Mirela Puț să îl impregneze în fiecare cusătura din costumul popular. Cu o dorință arzătoare de a face tot ce îi stă în putință ca tradițiile să dăinuie în timp și spațiu, Mirela coase costume populare de aproximativ zece ani. S-a îndrăgostit de lucrul de mână încă din copilărie, iar acum continuă cu drag sa coase costume viu colorate, zgărdene și diferite coliere țesute cu mărgele unicat. Tănase Burnar este olarul care duce mai departe ”ceramica de Săcel”. Meșteșugul l-a învățat de la tatăl său, ale cărui lucrări sunt expuse în muzee din întreaga lume.  Pentru a lustrui vasele roșii, ceramistul folosește unealta tradițională: piatra. Lucrările sale pot fi folosite atât pentru uz casnic, cât și pentru decor. Gheorghe Uță is a folk craftsman from Buciumi, Maramureș County, who carries on the craft of manufacturing straw hats. With great care and skill he weaves straw hats for the folk costumes from the Land of Chioar, the Land of Maramureș, the Land of Lăpuș and the Land of Codru. Reghina Cozma is a folk craftswoman from Rogoz, a village belonging to the town of Târgu Lăpuș, Maramureș County. She is master in egg-painting. She does this with beeswax and with the help of a tool called a "chișiță" (traditional pen). The colors used are vegetable colors, obtained from various plants and fruits. Maria Georgeta Iuga paints icons on glass in the traditional Maramureș style, using colors obtained from natural pigments. The icons painted by this folk craftswoman from Șurdești depict religious scenes and portraits of saints, such as: the Birth of the Lord, the Crucifixion, the Sorrowful Mother, Palm Sunday, St. Nicholas, St. George, St. Demetrius, St. Charalambos etc. As a sign of gratitude for the promotion of the culture and crafts of Maramureș, the Maramureș County Council awarded the honorary craftsman Georgeta Maria Iuga the honorary title of "Ambassador of Maramureș Tourism".  Contact details: Șișești township, Șurdești village, 30A Principală street, mobile phone: 0744 769 178. Vasile Șușca is a folk craftsman from Săcel, Maramureș County, whose traditional masks have become known all over the world. A former fur tailor, Vasile Șușca taught himself how to make masks from fur and wool scraps. The first masks he created were for Viflaim, a folk theater whose tradition is sacredly preserved in Maramureș, being staged even in churches, on Christmas Day. The archaic masks made by the folk artist only out of natural materials, are meant to ward off evil spirits and are used in various pre-Christian rituals, still practiced today. However, his masks are some of the most ingenious decorative objects, and the best known are the old men, the old women, the goat and the bear. In addition to creating traditional masks, he also paints wooden icons and landscapes. As a sign of gratitude for the promotion of the culture and crafts of Maramureș, the Maramureș County Council awarded the folk craftsman Vasile Șușca the honorary title of "Ambassador of Maramureș Tourism". Olga Keller is a folk craftswoman from Baia Mare, Maramureș County, who manufactures leather goods. She has dedicated her life to promoting Romanian traditions and crafts. The leather craftswoman is famous for the care and creativity with which she combines traditional motifs with modern designs on bags, purses and belts. She also makes custom covers for books and diaries or bookmarks and other unique leather accessories. Her creations bear the archaic symbols specific to Maramureș, such as: the sun, the rope, the Northern star, the shepherd's hook, etc. which she sews, sculpts and hand-paints. Olga Keller is a very active folk craftswoman, who gladly participated in all the editions of the Fair “Goodies of Maramureș” (Bun de Maramureș), as well as in other local or national events for the promotion of the traditional culture of Maramureș. Gheorghe Roman is a folk craftsman from Bârsana who makes traditional Maramureș opinci (peasant footwear) with straps, made of cowhide. The traditional shoes, called "opinci", are an essential element of folk costumes in all ethnographic areas of Maramureș and are worn over white wool knitted socks. Gheorghe Roman is a very active folk craftsman, who gladly participated in all the editions of the Fair “Goodies of Maramureș” (Bun de Maramureș), as well as in other local or national events for the promotion of the traditional culture of Maramureș.
